Iran is Funding Cloning

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Is it true that Iran is working on the cloning of humans, yet at the same time attempting to have us believe that they are following the true doctrines of Islam? Is this indeed rather hypocritical. Is this rumor true is Iran really working on Human Cloning?

We know they are very high tech and working on high-speed underwater torpedoes, which can travel underwater at 400-mph and they claim to have buzzed the USS Ronald Reagan with a Stealthy UAV. They also have shot off and tested a new stealth missile. Additionally they are as we know enriching Uranium from Chinese Stock and perhaps have considered building an atomic bomb or nuclear warhead to put on top of the ICBM 39-foot missiles that they have bought from China.

You see at first I did not believe the secret intelligence rumor about the cloning of humans in Iran. But when you consider the interesting in their buying of Russian Anti-Aircraft war toys, Chinese missiles and developing high tech weapons of war the rumor actually sound just about right, as such an attempt at advancement would in fact be right up their alley.

And since they know that they need more International Terrorists, rather than recruiting them, why not simply grow them through human cloning. Is Iran funding human cloning, Hitler had an interest in that remember? Lots of similarities there it appears. Consider all this in 2006.

The Street Begger

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Begging is not allowed and yet beggars are very common in India. They can be seen at places of worship platforms, road-crossings, monuments, fairs and streets. They wander from street to street, locality to locality and from one bazaar to another. They beg for money, food, clothes etc. in alms. They often create trouble and cause nuisance. Sometimes they commit thefts, pick pocketing and such other anti-social acts.

Begging has become a thriving and well organized profession. Sometimes there are reports in the newspapers about dead beggars leaving a huge amount of money and property behind them.

They move here and there singing or in groups and adopt various tricks to arouse pity and sympathy among the people. They are of many kinds-men, women, children, diseased, deformed, bind, lame and lepers. In many a case a beggar may be a quite healthy and able-bodied. But he or she may pretend to be blind, maimed or diseased. They present and ugly sight and make a very bad impression on the visiters from foreign Countries. They create chaos and disorder and spoil the image of the Country.

Beggars do not deserve any charity at all, not even lame, blind and diseased. Those who are really maimed, blind or deprived should be sheltered into asylums and poor-houses and not allowed to roam in the open. The government and the local administration should take care of all the beggars. Those who are hale and hearty should be given some gainful employment. And those who are crippled, blind, deaf or dumb should be looked after at public expense.

Beggars often cheat the simple and gullible people, particularly religiously maided ones. They deceive and create problems. Their number is ever on increase. They indulge in drinking, gambling, drug-abuse, child-lifting, thefts etc. They also spread disease. The beggary is now a well- organised profession and there are contracts for various well-known places of begging. Children are often kidnapped and stolen and then disfigured and maimed and forced to beg for their criminal masters.

Begging is a great social evil and should be dealt accordingly. It is a disgrace on the Indian society. Everything possible should be done to eradicate beggars and begging. The police, the administration, the social groups and voluntary agencies should come together and eradicate the problem. The political leaders and parties should take the lead and see that this social pestilence is no more there. Law courts can also help in checking the menace. They can direct the government to strictly ban the beggary . People can approach the law courts with public interest petitions in the matter.

Beowulf is Awesome - Great Fun, and State of the Art Computer Animation! Movie Review

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Oh, to have seen “Beowulf” (2007) in IMAX 3-D! It would have been amazing. Watching the DVD, one cannot help but imagine what the 3-D version is like. Axes flying at you; spears pointing in your face; and soaring through the sky with a dragon! All in a gloriously animated adventure, rated PG-13 because it’s not for the Disney crowd.

The blood, and guts, and hints of nudity and sex are a refreshing sight in a mainstream, computer-animated movie. This type of picture does NOT have to be clinically familial, and “Beowulf” proves it.

Here’s a few reasons why you must see this movie:

1. The filmmakers rock! Robert Zemeckis is a trustworthy director. He brought you “Roger Rabbit,” “Back To The Future,” AND “Forrest Gump.” One of the writers is Neil Gaiman. He wrote the grand-daddy of all graphic novel series, “Sandman.”

2. The cast is amazing. Crispin Glover plays the monster Grendel (and nearly steals the show). Angelina Jolie, although animated, appears nearly naked. John Malkovich and Anthony Hopkins add to the mix. Part of the fun is recognizing who plays who– not by voice– but by likeness. Their CG counterparts look so realistic, it is amazing to see how far this technology has come.

3. The DVD extras are cool, too. Even if you never watch behind-the-scenes material, be sure to check out The Making Of “Beowulf.” It shows how the actors played out their scenes wearing motion-capture suits on sets made mostly of see-through materials (so the light can penetrate the film space and the computer can digitally map out the action, right down to facial inflections). Very interesting!

Grade: B+

P.S. Use this movie to test drive your home theater system. It’s such a visceral experience. If you have amped up sound and a High-Def TV, “Beowulf” is tailor-made for your enjoyment.

How To Get Government Records Online?

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

We elect our government to stay in front and up-close to national events so as to warn us and protect us from danger. For them to be able to pass down their observations and findings over time there is bound to be a hardcopy to store up this information. This copy may not be accessible or if accessed, only by those willing to pay the price. But what are recorded in this copy surely compensates for a big price when talking about their possible uses.

Criminal records are open to the public while the personal profiles are hardly passed around. The availability or confidentiality of these data has resulted to improved and worse situations. Criminal records in the right hands can serve as protection; in the wrong hands, can result to more sly methods. Personal profiles can complete verification, or can complete an imitation. Licenses and titles are also craved forms. These can be used to claim rights to a property or bloodline sometimes with deviousness even by not rightful owners. Seemingly, the more we give the lesser we get. But it is inevitable to update our personal information on records because if we do not, our new information will not be valid on claims.

These uses having been pointed out should be considered by government on how they manage information: which to keep private and which to be announced. Admittedly, the decision is difficult to balance. Time and serious discussions must be put to significant use. As of now, the information disseminated to the public has been gathered by some websites to lessen researchers ground work, or so they say. There are a number of links that can pull out money from your pockets yet leaving you with only little information. This can not be helped as wisecracks demand fee before letting you go further or deeper on your exploration.

Tattoos and Body Art on Hollywood Celebrities

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Celebrity tattoos are becoming more and more visible and socially acceptable in mainstream pop culture these days. Angelina Jolie recently voted most sexy woman has plenty of tattoos and is probably the most famous and desirable celebrity with tattoos in Hollywood. Her tattoos to date consist of tribal dragons, a Thai tiger, and various Latin sayings across her shoulders and arms.

This surge in popularity of celebrity tattoos began in the 1960s. Lyle Tuttle the forefather of American tattooing tattooed Janis Joplin. Time was when tattoos were the preserve of those on the fringes of society but now it is not uncommon to see celebrity tattoos. Even super models such as Kate Moss and Sarah O’Hare strut around flashing their body art on the cover of glossy magazines or on the cat walk.

Actor Johnny Depp ranks as heavily tattooed for his caliber of talent and breadth of acting work. His tattooed arms are as often painted to be blank flesh as left with their own tattoos showing and incorporated into the character.

Vin Diesel is covered with a mix of modern tattoos styles, as befitting an underground government secret agent in the movie xXx. The character he plays agent X has one full sleeve, one partial sleeve, chest work and tattoos on his stomach.

As vampire slayer BLADE, Wesley Snipes has tribal blackwork on his arms, chest and back, as well as the sides of his head and the back of his nect. Pamela Anderson had her arm tattooed for real with a barbed wire armband for her role in the movie BARBWIRE. Following her split from husband Tommy Lee, (who is heavily tattooed) she had the “Tommy” tattoo on her finger edited to read “Mommy” in reference to her two sons. She also has tribal tattoos on the small of her back and a tattoo on her ankle.

Musicians have traditionally enjoyed more freedom than actors when it comes to body art. For movie stars having to transform into a different character each time they shoot a movie can be limiting especially if they are playing historical figures. But that has not stopped a lot of actors from getting tattooed in very visible places.

Historically rock stars were renowned for getting tattoos. The band Red Hot Chili Peppers are an example where the band members have a well-developed collection of tattoos. Singer Henry Rollins began his tattoo collection as the lead singer of Black Flag. Eminem continues to add to his tattoo collection but some critics have claimed that it will inhibit him if he wants to play a bigger acting role. Eminem’s tattoos are a combination of a style that is typical of Hip Hop and R&B artists such as Justin Timberlake, 50 Cent and Pharrel.

Of all the celebrities with tattoos sports stars tend to sport more tattoos than most especially basketball players. You can be big in sports and be tattooed, but the clean cut type still seems to be favored amongst Madison Avenue advertising gurus.

The Indian Automotive Media

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Was at the launch of the Mercedes M- and S-Class. Times surely have changed in the Indian and global markets. A few years back, I remember when Merc entered the Indian market, the first press con had a ’selected media list’. This time the list had significantly expanded and the company was more open to answering questions.

Talking of questions, I am sure that even the Mercedes India top brass wasn’t ready for an ambiguity like “What is your marketing strategy for the S Class?” This came from a PYT in low waist jeans from a 24-hr news monstrosity. While she was quite clueless about the industry, her confidence and self-belief was commendable as she never even twitched before repeating the question once again. What answer did she expect? “We plan to peddle the S-Class through pyramid marketing schemes?”

Its not that she was a unique case. With press cons nowadays heavily crowded by the numerous 24 hr news channels (at last count there were 65 of them - I did the counting and after 20 got tired and just made up the number but hey there are many), it is a PR firm’s nightmare to keep a track on who came, asked what and reported which version.

The media nowadays does not believe in doing their homework and questions like “What was your turnover last year?” to “What is the power output of the engine?” are quite common. Made me scared a few times but hey I seem to be in the minority here.

Talking about the media, it must really be a mixed bag for company execs. On the plus side they don’t have to answer insightful, dirt-digging, embarrassing questions. On the negative side, they often get bloomers.

They Are Lying To You

Published by kitty under Uncategorized

Yes, it’s true. People are lying to you. They do it directly or by omission, and they do it for a variety of motivations, ranging from the profit motive to a quest for power, to the classic desire to do it “for your own good.” Here is just one example.

The Business Licensing Lie

Why do we have licensing? The idea is that those involved in an industry are held to certain standards by requiring a license, and so this protects the consumer. It may even work in some cases - but that is not the motivation.

Look at something like hair-cutting. Is licensing necessary? Is it really that dangerous a profession? Is it a great crime if your unlicensed neighbor cuts your hair? Does getting a license make someone a good beautician? Would it actually matter if the hair-cutters out there were without a license? Or could we just ask about their experience and training before we sat down in that chair?

Why is this profession licensed then? It all starts with the businesses themselves. You may believe the lie that businesses don’t want regulation, but the truth is that they are always the first to call for it - because it helps their bottom line. It excludes competition or makes it harder for others to compete. Once access has been limited, prices - and profits - can be maintained at a higher level. It isn’t about any concern for the consumer, although that is where the politicians come in.

Politicians help perpetuate the lie that licensing is necessary, in order to look good when they introduce legislation. Some of them may believe they are doing good as well, of course. The public, meanwhile, which never thought about the issue previously (have you ever lobbied for licensing of your dog-walker or local fast food workers?), buys into the idea.

It seems to make sense to license people. Never mind that a man can have 1% of the experience of an unlicensed builder and get a contractor’s license by studying for few days. We think licensing is really about standards and safety, so it is easy to agree. In addition, many people are inherently (even unconsciously) suspicious and resentful of business people, and want them to be “controlled” or punished by government.

The Beneficiaries Of The Lies

Let’s look at another example, where licensing isn’t yet common. My friend the carpet cleaner complains about the “cutthroats” who clean carpet too cheap. He is correct in pointing out that they don’t have the same expensive equipment and training, and they don’t do as good a job. His solution? “We need licensing in our industry.”

Why? This would force the discount cleaners to spend more money on training, licensing, and perhaps more expensive equipment. Then they couldn’t undercut my friend and other “quality” carpet cleaners so much on price. Licensing would bring up the profit margins for the whole industry. This is the real motivation for such regulation, and why businesses want it.

Of course the claim is that this would be better for the consumer. Personally, I used discount carpet cleaners years ago, because they were half the price of others. I understand that they didn’t do quite as good a job, and I wouldn’t use them now, but I want the option. Never mind what I or other consumers want, though. If the carpet cleaning industry is regulated, you can bet that it will be “for the public good,” and all the big cleaning companies will be pushing for the law.

The result? Well, the rich can already pay for what they want, including better hair-cuts and better carpet cleaning. So they don’t need any regulations that are supposed to raise standards. But what you are on a tighter budget? Such regulations just take away the cheaper options you had. Is this a “public good?”

Warren Buffet once said: “If after twenty minutes at the poker table you can’t tell who the patsy is, it’s you.” If licensing doesn’t help us common consumers much, who are the real beneficiaries? The businesses - they get higher profits. The politicians - they get praise and votes for their “public concern.” The bureaucrats - they get power as regulators. Us consumers? Only if we want lies that make us feel good.
